Chevrolet Camaro/Pontiac Firebird V-6 (94-98) Drive Shaft Replacement Replaces OE Part Numbers 1255808 / 26041428 CCI new single piece drive shaft replaces the stock two-piece drive shaft. The OE design shaft although works well is overly complicated for the application. For this application, the cv-joint and the center bearing at the center of the drive shaft are unnecessary and can be simply eliminated without suffering any negative effects. The transmission output shaft and the rear differential input shaft are within 2 Degrees of being parallel in a stock vehicle which is a perfect scenario for a two u-jointed single piece drive shaft. CCI’s Camaro/Firebird replacement drive shafts are built with Spicer components and solid Spicer Life U-joints. Each shaft is precision balanced and straightened to our strict tolerances. |
